Meet The Experts

Alyson Jones

Author and Speaker Alyson Jones is the President & Clinical Director at Alyson Jones & Associates. Alyson Jones is a highly respected therapist, educator and author who has practiced and defined a no-nonsense approach to an exceptional life. She authored an award winning book called “MORE: A New Philosophy for Exceptional Living” in which she shares her insights and strategies on how to accomplish and enjoy an exceptional life.

Alyson holds a Masters in Counseling Psychology and has practiced as a therapist for over 20 years. Alyson is regular on CTV Morning Live and a contributing writer for Huffington Post. Alyson is a prominent figure in the psychological community and is an Adjunct Faculty member at the Adler University in Vancouver, B.C. where she enjoys inspiring her students. In addition to her professional life, Alyson lives in North Vancouver with her exceptional family where she enjoys being a wife, mother, sister, daughter, and friend.

Dr. Saul Miller

Dr. Saul L. Miller is one of North America’s leading performance and sport psychologists.

He’s the author of 8 books including Hockey Tough: A Winning Mental Game, Performing Under Pressure and Why Teams Win: 9 Keys to Success in Business Sport and Beyond.

Dr. Miller consults with sport teams, corporations and health organizations across North America. The focus of his work is enhancing performance, team building, and helping people achieve success while dealing effectively with pressure, stress, and change.

In sport, he has worked with the NY Mets, Seattle Mariners, LA Dodgers, Rams, Clippers, and Kings, St. Louis Blues, Vancouver Canucks, Nashville Predators, plus PGA golfers, Olympians and pro athletes from Europe.

There’s no one in North America with more “hands on” experience facilitating success and well-being. Dr. Miller’s clients have set records, won championships and gold medals.

Rob Hedequist

Rob Hedequist is a proud graduate of the University of Southern California where he was a collegiate athlete, Graduate Assistant Coach and a member of the 1980 Pac-Ten Championship and Rose Bowl team.

He honorably served with the United States Marine Corps as an Infantry Officer, Reconnaissance Officer, and Commanding Officer. He received his Global Certificate in Leadership Coaching from the Neuro Strategic Coaching Institute where he serves as a mentor to new coaches. He also holds certifications for DiSC and MindSonar assessments.

Robert is an Executive, Leadership and Peak Performance Coach, has a passion for serving others, the ability to drill into the core of issues and work with individuals and teams to discover optimal strategies to affect lasting change.

He currently resides in Seattle, WA with his family, where he has a passion for fitness, long-distance running and innovative technology.

Emily Minaker

Raised in Kelowna, B.C., Emily Minaker holds a BA in Psychology from the University of British Columbia, a Master’s degree from the University of Denver in Sport and Performance Psychology, a Master’s degree from Seattle Pacific University in Industrial Organizational Psychology and is currently a 3rd year PhD Student in Industrial Organizational Psychology at Seattle Pacific University.

Emily has worked with numerous high school and college athletes and teams, providing them with mental skills to improve their performance on and off the field. This includes helping sport organizations to establish mental health systems that give athletes the mental performance and health services they need.

Ultimately, Emily is a big proponent of a growth mindset and believes that through hard work and effort, anything is possible.

Andrea Southcott

Andrea Southcott is Partner at Southcott Strategy Inc. Andrea leads a team working with C-Suite clients to drive brand strategy and market growth by aligning culture, shaping customer experience and digital strategy. Previously, Andrea was President of TBWA\Vancouver– one of Western Canada’s largest agencies, and named in Canada’s Top Ten Creative Agencies in both 2009 and 2010.

Andrea was on the Organizing Committee for the 2005, 2011 & 2014 Grey Cups; was Chapter Chair of both YPO Gold and YPO; and was a Faculty Advisory Board member for Sauder School of Business and a Board member of BC Children’s Hospital Foundation for fifteen years. She is currently Chair of the Marketing & Communications Committee for BC Children’s Hospital Foundation, member of the Nature’s Path Foods Advisory Board, & a founding member of the West Vancouver 2010 Legacy Foundation. Andrea mentors senior marketers in Vancouver, for two years wrote a monthly “Strategy” column for the Globe and Mail, and has been named in Vancouver’s Power 50.
